Jake Paul has an opponent for his highly anticipated return to the boxing ring.
Paul will face former two-time GLORY Kickboxing champion Cédric Doumbé on December 24, 2026, at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, according to Most Valuable Promotions.
The Christmas Eve matchup will mark Paul’s first fight since suffering a sixth-round knockout loss to former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua on December 19, 2025. Paul fractured his jaw in two places during the fight and underwent multiple surgeries during his recovery.
Paul (12-2, 7 KOs) returns against a decorated combat sports veteran who brings a different background into the boxing ring.
Doumbé, a Cameroon-born French fighter, compiled a 75-7-1 kickboxing record with 45 knockouts and captured two GLORY welterweight championships. He later transitioned to mixed martial arts, where he built a 6-1 professional record.
However, Doumbé has limited professional boxing experience, with just one recorded bout — a four-round decision victory in 2015.
The matchup is scheduled for eight three-minute rounds at the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds, with both fighters wearing 10-ounce gloves.
Paul acknowledged Doumbé’s kickboxing accomplishments while emphasizing that their upcoming contest will take place under boxing rules.
Doumbé, meanwhile, took aim at Paul’s previous loss to Joshua, promising to finish what the former heavyweight champion started.
The fight represents Paul’s first opportunity to return following the most significant setback of his professional boxing career. For Doumbé, it presents an opportunity to make a major statement on an international stage.
